PHYTO is a contemporary plant-based restaurant which celebrates the diversity and versatility of Australian native ingredients. PHYTO required a visual identity that embraced its ethos of a relaxed, intelligent way of cooking with indigenous and local produce, and that could be used across multiple print and digital touch points.
DESIGN
Inspired by PHYTO’S commitment to local authenticity and beauty, S U N / S I T E crafted a logo using the native lemon myrtle flower as inspiration. Australian lemon myrtle has been used for thousands of years, lending its sublime citrus flavour to food preparation and cooking.
The PHYTO colour palette incorporates the warm delicate hues of the lemon myrtle blossom. In keeping with the quietly elegant feel of the PHYTO identity, the classic font Futura PT is used at varying weights and sizes. The tagline ‘Kitchen + Garden’, reflects PHYTO’s underlying ethos that nature and cooking are integral to one another, that outside and inside are one.
